Gemini makes his Atlanta debut as a K RnB solo artist from South Korea, this past Tuesday March 21st, 2023 at The Loft with special guests BK, and Fallens.

With a packed house, the theme of the show was ‘Still Blue’ coined from his 2022 EP, which gained a lot of traction thanks to his sultry hit single ‘Do Me Right’. Gemini ignited the show with an electrifying live rendition of ‘Love Is Banned’ a song derived from the depths of rage derived from the stages of grief.
Gemini’s Still Blue album has quickly become more than just a collection of songs; it’s a declaration of vulnerability, an exploration of uncovering emotional rawness, and a deeply personal narrative about overcoming personal struggles. Although short in stature, the album’s theme transcends from within, highlighting struggles of grief, anxiety, and the loss of a relationship. When the artist hit the stage for his Still Blue Tour, fans were treated to not just to incredible intimate live performances, but to an experience that reverberated with profound messages about mental health and the importance of ovecoming lonelieness and embracing your emotions.
Gemini’s Still Blue album has been heralded for its fusion of introspective lyrics and genre-defying sound. With haunting melodies from tracks like ‘Bad’ and candid lyrics, the album takes listeners on a journey through themes of isolation, self-discovery, and emotional growth. Songs like “Love is Banned” and “Hola” speak directly to the listener’s struggles, offering solace in the realization that they’re not alone in their pain. Hola, the ending song to his EP, being the catalyst end of one era, and the beginning of another.
During the live concert, this theme was amplified. As the crowd swayed to the music, screaming from the top of their lungs during ‘Love is Banned’ , or calmed down for ‘A Place Where We Used to Go’, there was an undeniable connection between the artist and his fans—an unspoken understanding that transcended the music itself. The vulnerability in Gemini’s voice echoed the album’s message: It’s okay to feel lost, to be uncertain about what’s next, and to struggle. But, equally, it’s okay to seek help, to find community, and to heal. Its Okay to Not Be Okay.
As artists are beginning to take the next step in their career post COVID, we’re excited to see the rise of Korean artists infiltrating our music libraries, creating the soundtrack to our lives. We are all human, stumbling through this glorious thing called life, going through the ranges of emotions to cope. Music helps us heal, and just as Gemini described, the world is ever but a Rollercoaster, taking us through the up and downs of life. Language may be the one thing that divides us, but the emotions music evokes will always bring us together.
